Bingham responded with a break of 79, but a missed black allowed Jones to capitalize with a break of 72, bringing the score back to level pegging. The intense battle between the two players will resume on Friday at 14:30 BST, with both players eager to secure a spot in the final.
Meanwhile, in another exciting semi-final matchup, David Gilbert and Kyren Wilson could not be separated, finishing the session at 4-4. The crowd at the Crucible Theatre were treated to a display of attacking snooker from both players, with Wilson impressing with breaks of 73, 87, 67, and an 88 in the final frame.
Wilson’s attempt at a maximum 147 break was thwarted, but he expressed his desire to entertain the crowd with such a feat. Gilbert, on the other hand, showcased his skill with a superb break of 104, along with breaks of 91 and 74.
