In a thrilling day of snooker at The Crucible Theatre in Sheffield, Ronnie O’Sullivan found himself struggling to settle early on in his World Championship quarter-final match against Stuart Bingham. Despite being 3-1 down, O’Sullivan managed to claw his way back to end the opening session level at 4-4 with Bingham.

Bingham, the winner in 2015, started strong with breaks of 55, 75, and 79, taking three of the first four frames against O’Sullivan. However, ‘The Rocket’ showed his class with a fantastic break of 116, reeling off three consecutive frames to level the match before Bingham took the final frame of the afternoon.
