Loch Raven Senior Collin Nadolny Excels on Lacrosse Field and Sailing with Family

Loch Raven senior Collin Nadolny has had a standout career on the lacrosse field, but one of his most cherished moments was playing alongside his brother, Matt, on the school’s boys lacrosse team. The siblings have been playing together for years, and Collin described it as a special experience to have one last season with his brother before he graduated.

While Matt has moved on to the sailing team at Washington College, he will be joining Collin this summer in volunteering for Special Olympics sailing. The brothers’ passion for sailing was sparked by their grandfather, who used to race sailboats and introduced them to the sport at a young age.

Loch Raven lacrosse coach Nolan Kent played a pivotal role in reigniting Collin’s interest in sailing when he introduced him to the Special Olympics program. Collin quickly became involved and even recruited his brother to join as a coach.

The Nadolny brothers are not the only ones making it a family affair, as Kent’s own family has been heavily involved in Special Olympics for years. The organization’s end-of-the-year regatta has been a longstanding tradition, and Collin, an Eagle Scout, is eager to participate this year after missing out last year due to a Boy Scout trip.

Despite facing challenges on the water, including a memorable incident involving a sailboat boom, Collin remains dedicated to both lacrosse and sailing. His versatility on the lacrosse field has been instrumental in Loch Raven’s success, and he is committed to helping his team make a deeper run in the playoffs.

As he looks ahead to college, Collin plans to continue his lacrosse career while studying physical therapy. His ultimate dream is to work with a professional sports team as a physical therapist, combining his love for sports with his desire to help others. With his determination and passion for both lacrosse and sailing, Collin Nadolny is sure to make a lasting impact wherever his journey takes him.
