Exciting Opportunities for Dinghy Sailing at Sidmouth Sailing Club

Are you looking to try something new this summer? Have you ever considered dinghy sailing but never had the chance to give it a go? Well, now is your opportunity! Sidmouth Sailing Club is offering taster sessions for both beginners and those looking for a refresher on their sailing skills.

The taster sessions, which will take place on Saturday mornings, will give participants the chance to get out on the water with an experienced sailor to see if dinghy sailing is the right fit for them. There will be no charge for these sessions, but participants will need to sign up as temporary members of the Club for insurance purposes. Refreshments will also be available at the end of the morning.

For those looking for more in-depth coaching, the Club will also be offering coaching sessions on Saturday mornings. These sessions are designed for individuals with no previous experience or those in need of a refresher. The coaching will focus on core dinghy sailing skills as outlined by the Royal Yachting Association, adapted for the conditions at Sidmouth.

The club aims to provide a course of 5 coaching sessions, weather permitting, for a fee of £60 for temporary membership. Additionally, dinghy hire will be available on a sessional basis during the Club’s regular sailing sessions on Wednesday evenings and Saturday afternoons.
