“Women Warriors of the Indian Army Sailing Vessel MANYU VIR Complete Historic Training Expedition”

The Brave Women Warriors of the Indian Army have once again showcased their grit and determination as they successfully completed the Training Expedition VIII aboard the Indian Army Sailing Vessel MANYU VIR. This epic journey, spanning over 27 days from Mumbai to Lakshadweep and back, tested the sailors’ skills in navigating the mighty oceans, varying wind conditions, and choppy waters.

Led by a team of 12 women warriors from the Tri-Services, including officers from the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force, the expedition was a true test of their physical and mental fortitude. The completion of this challenging expedition not only boosts their confidence but also sets them on the path towards their final goal of circumnavigation.

The expedition was conducted in four legs, starting from Marve in Mumbai to INS Kadamba in Karwar, then to INS Dweeprakshak in Kavaratti, before returning back to Mumbai. The sailors showcased exemplary teamwork, navigational prowess, and adaptability to varying sea conditions throughout the journey.
