With over 60 boats expected to participate in the regatta, including top finishers from the recent St. Thomas International Regatta, the competition is sure to be fierce. Among the notable entries are the Cape 31s “Flying Jenny,” “ShotGunn,” and “M2,” all of which performed admirably in the St. Thomas regatta.

In the CSA 3 class, the J-121 “Apollo” will be looking to continue its winning streak after claiming victory in the CSA 2 class in St. Thomas. The competition promises to be intense, with other strong contenders like “Trinity VI” and “Trinity IV” vying for the top spot.

The regatta will also feature the Scrub Island Invitational, a 12 nautical-mile race that will test the skills of the participating sailors. Additionally, a special cultural showcase organized by the Department of Culture will give visitors a taste of the rich heritage of the BVI.

As the excitement builds towards the start of the regatta on Friday, organizers are encouraging spectators to come out and support the event. With dinghy races, art exhibitions, and live music planned throughout the weekend, there will be plenty of entertainment for everyone to enjoy.

So mark your calendars and get ready for a weekend of thrilling sailing action at the BVI Spring Regatta. It’s sure to be an event to remember!
