In a thrilling weekend of AIC First XV rugby action, Padua pulled off a major upset while Villanova narrowly escaped defeat despite a stunning try from St Patrick’s fullback Jack Boland. The competition reached new heights as the schools battled it out on the field.

At Shorncliffe, Villanova managed to edge out St Patrick’s in a nail-biting 33-32 victory. Despite Boland’s incredible try, it was Villanova’s resilience that ultimately secured the win. The match was a high-scoring affair with both teams showcasing their attacking prowess.

Meanwhile, Iona dominated St Edmund’s with a commanding 52-7 win, displaying their strength as genuine premiership contenders. Fullback Campbell Rolfe was exceptional, leading his team to victory with accurate kicking and impressive playmaking skills.
