Lewis Ludlam to miss Investec Champions Cup semi-final due to shoulder injury
Northampton Saints captain Lewis Ludlam will be sidelined for his team’s Investec Champions Cup semi-final clash against Leinster due to a shoulder injury. The Saints will have to rely on flanker Courtney Lawes to lead the team in front of a massive crowd at Croke Park.
With Ollie Sleightholme also out of the lineup due to a concussion, Sam Graham will step in at openside flanker, and Juarno Augustus will take his place at number eight. Despite these setbacks, Northampton will look to put up a strong fight against Leinster.
Leinster, on the other hand, will have their own injury concerns with Garry Ringrose and Hugo Keenan missing out once again. However, Ciaran Frawley and Jamie Osborne will continue to impress in their positions after a stellar performance in the quarter-final.
Both teams have been in top form, winning all six of their matches in the competition so far. However, Northampton will have to overcome their poor record against Leinster, having won just one of their last 10 meetings.
The stage is set for an exciting clash between these two powerhouse teams, with the winner advancing to the final of the Investec Champions Cup. Fans can catch all the action live on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra and the BBC Sport website and app. Stay tuned for what promises to be a thrilling semi-final showdown at Croke Park.
