Cardiff to bid farewell to Ellis Jenkins and Rhys Carre against Edinburgh in United Rugby Championship

In a highly anticipated United Rugby Championship clash, Cardiff will take on Edinburgh at the Cardiff Arms Park on Saturday, 27 April. The match is set to kick off at 15:05 BST and will be broadcasted live on BBC Radio Wales & Radio Cymru, with live scores available on the BBC Sport website and app.

The spotlight will be on Wales flanker Ellis Jenkins, who will be making his final home appearance for Cardiff before retiring at the end of the season. Jenkins, who suffered a knee injury in 2018 that kept him out for more than two years, will be looking to put on a memorable performance in front of the Cardiff faithful.

Joining Jenkins in his farewell match will be prop Rhys Carre, who is set to return to Saracens after this season. The Cardiff team will see five changes in the starting lineup, with Harri Millard, Mackenzie Martin, and Gonzalo Bertranou all getting the nod.

On the other side, Edinburgh will be looking to secure a place in the top eight play-offs as they currently sit in eighth place with 39 points. The visitors will be boosted by the return of Argentina wing Emiliano Boffelli and props Pierre Schoeman and WP Nel.

Cardiff head coach Matt Sherratt expressed his desire to give Jenkins and Carre a fitting send-off, while Edinburgh boss Sean Everitt emphasized the importance of starting strong against a dangerous Cardiff side.

With both teams eager for a victory, the Cardiff Arms Park is set to witness an intense battle between Cardiff and Edinburgh. Rugby fans can expect an exciting and emotional encounter as two teams with contrasting motivations clash on the field.
