St Benedict’s Boys’ Rugby League Teams Triumph in County Final

St Benedict’s Boys’ Rugby League teams have made school history by both securing a spot in the County Rugby League Final, with the U13s and U15s teams triumphing over Netherhall School in thrilling matches.

The U13s game kicked off with intense competition as both teams fought for control on the field. Despite a tight first half, St Benedict’s managed to edge ahead with a score of 18-10, showcasing their teamwork with two well-executed tries before halftime. The second half saw St Benedict’s dominating the game, scoring four quick tries and ultimately securing a 40-16 victory to claim the County title.

Following their recent success in the U15 Rugby Union competition, St Benedict’s U15s team entered the match as favorites and lived up to expectations. With a strong first half performance resulting in a commanding 32-0 lead, the team continued to impress in the second half, ultimately sealing a 50-12 win over Netherhall School.

Coach Mr. Harrison praised the players for their outstanding performance, highlighting their skill and teamwork on the field. With both teams now set to face tough opponents in the upcoming National Quarter Final stage, St Benedict’s is gearing up for more exciting rugby action as they continue their quest for further success in the Schools National Cup.
