2nd International Coastal Rowing Beach Sprints: A Celebration of Athleticism and Unity at Malindi Beach

The Limassol Nautical Club (LNC) recently hosted the 2nd International Coastal Rowing Beach Sprints at the stunning Malindi Beach, drawing athletes, coaches, and spectators from around the world. The event, held from April 19th to 21st, was a true testament to the beauty of coastal rowing and the spirit of sportsmanship.

A total of 160 athletes and coaches from 16 countries, including Europe, Asia (China and Japan), and beyond, gathered to compete in a series of thrilling sprint races. The competition featured a mix of seasoned Olympians, world champions, and newcomers to the sport, each showcasing their unique talents and determination on the picturesque shores of Cyprus.

The beach sprints, a challenging combination of strength, endurance, and navigation skills, tested the athletes as they sprinted on the beach, maneuvered through slaloms in the water, and raced to the finish line. The atmosphere was electric as competitors pushed themselves to the limit, showcasing exceptional skill and sportsmanship throughout the event.

Beyond the fierce competition, the event was a celebration of unity and friendship within the coastal rowing community. Participants and spectators alike were treated to a weekend filled with thrilling races, breathtaking views, and unforgettable moments.
