Old Dominion Women’s Rowing Competes in Sunshine Invitational in Sarasota, Florida
The Old Dominion Women’s Rowing team showcased their skills and determination at the Sunshine Invitational in Sarasota, Florida this past weekend. Competing in a series of races, the Monarchs displayed their talent and teamwork on the water.
On Friday, the team participated in three races, with the varsity 4, first varsity 8, and second varsity 8 teams all giving their best effort. Despite facing tough competition, the Monarchs showed resilience and determination in each race. Head coach Brian Conley praised the team for their performance, noting that they are still finding speed and improving with each race.
Saturday brought more challenges for the Monarchs, as they competed in the varsity 4, first varsity 8, and second varsity 8 races. The team continued to push themselves and learn from each race, with Conley emphasizing the importance of gaining race experience and confidence.
