Alaman Adamo: From Rowing Athlete to Model and Scholar
JAKARTA – Alaman Adamo, a talented rowing athlete from the United States, has been making waves both on and off the water. As part of the 30-member boat race squad at the University of Cambridge, Adamo has proven himself to be a skilled rower, excelling in both rowing and coxswain positions.
Recently, Adamo caught the attention of many when he appeared in the Shanghai River Regatta with the second Cambridge team. However, it was not just his rowing skills that garnered attention. Adamo has also ventured into the world of modeling, showcasing his confidence and versatility in a swimsuit photo shoot for Summer Break.
Despite his success in rowing and modeling, Adamo remains dedicated to his education. A graduate of the University of Cambridge with a Master of Philosophy in Digital Humanities, Adamo values the interdisciplinary approach that his education offers.
“I feel very grateful to be able to learn digital methods today and for sure for our future,” said Adamo. His interest in Digital Humanities dates back to his undergraduate studies, where he majored in Media Studies with a Digital Studies concentration.
Adamo’s journey in rowing began in high school at Kent School, where he was introduced to the sport by Garrison Smith. He continued his rowing career at the University of California, Berkeley, before joining the Cambridge squad.
Throughout his rowing career, Adamo has achieved numerous victories, including winning the IRA National Championship, Eric Will Trophy, San Diego Crew Classic, and Pac-12 Championships.
With his passion for rowing, modeling, and academia, Alaman Adamo is truly a multi-talented individual who continues to make a mark in various fields.
