Jenks Grad Greg Flood Aiming for Olympic Gold

Greg Flood, a former baseball player turned world-class rower, is on the fast track to Olympic success. With just four years of training under his belt, Flood has already been selected to the 2011 U.S. Rowing Under-23 lightweight team, a stepping stone to the Olympic team.

Flood’s journey to the top of the rowing world is a testament to his dedication and work ethic. Starting with little to no experience in the sport, Flood quickly rose through the ranks, thanks to his relentless drive to succeed.

His rigorous training regimen includes early morning workouts at the boathouse, weightlifting sessions, and long hours on the water. Flood’s hard work paid off when he won the American Collegiate Rowing Association’s National Championship in 2008 and earned a spot on the national roster for the World Rowing Championships in Amsterdam.

But Flood’s ultimate goal is to make the 2012 U.S. Olympic rowing team. With the support of his coach and the state-of-the-art training facility at the Devon Boathouse in Oklahoma City, Flood is determined to make his Olympic dream a reality.

As Flood continues to push himself to new heights, his story serves as an inspiration to aspiring athletes everywhere. With dedication, perseverance, and a relentless work ethic, anything is possible. Stay tuned as Flood sets his sights on Olympic gold.
