Fiona Murtagh and Aifric Keogh secured a Silver medal for Ireland in the Women’s Pair event at the Rowing World Cup in Spain, adding to the Bronze medal won by Philip Doyle and Daire Lynch in the Men’s Double. The Irish team put up a strong fight against the reigning World Champions from the Netherlands, finishing just one second behind them at the finish line.

Speaking after the race, Murtagh expressed her excitement about the team’s performance, stating that it was only their second event together as a pair and they are constantly learning and improving.
