The Dartmouth men’s heavyweight rowing team showcased their dominance over the weekend at the Lake Morey Invitational, winning four out of five events against tough competition from Boston University and Wisconsin. The only setback came in the second varsity eight race, but overall, the Big Green had an impressive showing, winning 13 out of 15 races throughout the weekend.

Head Coach Wyatt Allen expressed his satisfaction with the team’s performance, highlighting the competitive nature of the races and the valuable lessons learned. The varsity eight bounced back from a loss to Syracuse on Saturday by defeating both Boston University and Wisconsin on Sunday with a time of 6:09.0, showcasing their strength and determination.

Coach Allen praised the team’s depth and overall performance, emphasizing the importance of finding speed and improvement in preparation for upcoming competitions.

Looking ahead, the Big Green will return to action in three weeks at the Eastern Sprints in Worcester, Massachusetts. Coach Allen acknowledged the tight competition among teams and emphasized the need for continuous improvement to secure favorable results in future races.
