LIV Golf Tees Off in Miami at Trump National Doral for Fifth Event of 2024 Season

The LIV Golf tour is set to tee off in Miami at Trump National Doral this weekend for the fifth event of the 2024 season, marking a return to the United States ahead of the upcoming Masters Tournament. Thirteen LIV Golf players, including Australia’s Cam Smith, are expected to compete in the event.

Joaquin Niemann currently leads the individual standings by a significant 40 points, with two wins from the opening four events. Jon Rahm and Dustin Johnson follow closely behind in second and third place, respectively. Crusher GC holds a strong lead in the team standings, with back-to-back wins at the previous two events in Jeddah and Hong Kong.

Coverage of the event will begin at 4am AEDT on Saturday morning, live and free on 7plus. Meanwhile, the Kookaburras will host the Indian men’s hockey team in a five-match series in Perth, with Olympic selection at the top of the Australian players’ minds.
