Former Arizona Coyotes Embrace Warm Welcome in Utah

The Arizona Coyotes have officially made the move to Utah, and the reception from hockey fans in the state has been nothing short of enthusiastic. The team was welcomed by a crowd of approximately 100 local youth hockey players at the airport, chanting “Go, Utah! Go, Utah!” as they arrived. The excitement continued at a fan celebration at the Delta Center, where the arena was packed to capacity with fans eager to welcome the new team.

Coach André Tourigny expressed his excitement about the move, noting that the challenges of uprooting from Arizona are being offset by the warm reception from the Utah community. The team sees this move as an opportunity to build a new culture and make history in their new home.

Despite the immediate concerns about securing practice facilities and a locker room, general manager Bill Armstrong is confident that the team will be able to make temporary arrangements with community venues. The players are focused on the upcoming season and are determined to make a mark in their debut season in Utah.

Four-time All-Star forward Clayton Keller is optimistic about the team’s chances, believing that with everyone buying in, they can make a push for the playoffs in their first season in the Beehive State. The players are eager to prove themselves and are looking forward to the challenges and opportunities that come with this move.

As the former Arizona Coyotes settle into their new home in Utah, they are ready to make their mark on the ice and show fans what they are capable of achieving in the upcoming season. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting new chapter in Utah hockey.
