The University of North Dakota’s hockey team is gearing up for an exciting 2024-25 season with a schedule full of thrilling matchups and potential for another successful run in the National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC).

One of the most anticipated games on the schedule is the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Game against Providence, featuring some of the best freshman players in the country. Providence will showcase potential first-round picks Trevor Connelly and John Mustard, while UND will bring in Sacha Boisvert, Mac Swanson, and E.J. Emery.

UND will also host powerhouse teams like Boston University and Robert Morris, as well as hit the road for nonconference games against Minnesota State and Cornell. The Fighting Hawks will face defending CCHA champ Bemidji State and defending national champion Denver in what promises to be an intense season.

With the addition of Arizona State to the NCHC, UND will have a chance to play in the desert in January, a trip many teams have been looking forward to. The team will also face off against Western Michigan, St. Cloud State, and Minnesota Duluth, among others, in what is shaping up to be a competitive season.

The schedule also includes the NCHC Frozen Faceoff and NCAA regionals, with the Frozen Four taking place in St. Louis. UND fans can look forward to an action-packed season with the team aiming for another shot at the NCAA tournament.

Overall, the 2024-25 season looks to be a thrilling one for UND hockey fans, with plenty of exciting matchups and opportunities for the team to showcase their talent on the ice. Stay tuned for what promises to be an unforgettable season for the Fighting Hawks.
