National Women’s Hockey League 2024-2025: Hockey Haryana and Hockey Maharashtra Secure Victories in Ranchi, Jharkhand

The National Women’s Hockey League 2024-2025 (Phase 1) continued with thrilling matches on Day 2 at the Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Astroturf Hockey Stadium in Ranchi, Jharkhand. Hockey Haryana and Hockey Maharashtra emerged victorious in their respective games, showcasing their skill and determination on the field.

In the first match of the day, Hockey Haryana put on a dominant display against Manipur Hockey, securing an impressive 8-0 win. Pooja, Ritika, Manju Chorsiya, Bhteri, and Shashi Khasa were the standout performers for Haryana, with Shashi Khasa scoring a remarkable hat-trick in the final quarter. Every goal scored by Haryana was a field goal, highlighting their proficiency in open play.

In the second match, Hockey Maharashtra outplayed Hockey Mizoram with a 3-0 victory. Tanushree Dinesh Kadu, Monika Tirkey, and Captain Ashwini Kolekar were the goal scorers for Maharashtra, who controlled the game from start to finish. Despite their best efforts, Mizoram struggled to break through Maharashtra’s defense and find the back of the net.

Later in the day, Hockey Madhya Pradesh defeated Hockey Bengal 1-0, while Hockey Jharkhand secured a 3-0 win over Hockey Mizoram in their respective matches. The competition in the National Women’s Hockey League U-21 (Phase 1) is heating up, with teams giving their all to secure crucial victories.
