OTTAWA SPORT HALL OF FAME INDUCTION CEREMONY – MAY 28, 2024

The Ottawa Sport Hall of Fame is gearing up for an exciting evening on Tuesday, May 28th as they induct five new members and honor two championship teams. Among the inductees is former NHL player Mike Bullard, a dynamic scorer who left his mark on the league.

Bullard’s hockey journey began in Ottawa as a member of the East Ottawa Vanier Voyageurs minor hockey team, where his talent was evident even at a young age. He continued to excel in junior hockey, scoring an impressive 150 points with the Brantford Alexanders before being drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins in 1980.

Throughout his 11-year NHL career, Bullard was known for his scoring prowess, reaching the coveted 50-goal and 100-point milestones. He was a standout player for the Penguins and later the Calgary Flames, finishing his career with an impressive 336 goals and 694 points in 727 games.

After his NHL career, Bullard continued to play hockey in Europe before transitioning into coaching. He now serves as the Head Coach and Vice President of Hockey Operations for the Caledonia Corvairs in the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League.

With his impressive stats and contributions to the sport, it’s no surprise that Bullard is being honored as a Hall of Famer by the Ottawa Sport Hall of Fame. Fans and supporters can join in the celebration by purchasing tickets for the induction ceremony, where Bullard and the other inductees will be recognized for their outstanding achievements in sports.
