Niagara-on-the-Lake Minor Hockey Association Awards Ceremony 2023-24
The 2023-24 hockey season has officially come to a close for the Niagara-on-the-Lake Minor Hockey Association, with players and teams celebrating their achievements at the annual awards ceremony. The ice may be gone from the arenas, but the memories of this season will surely last a lifetime.
In the U11 Local League 1 division, Amedeo Santini took home the title of Most Valuable Player, while Mia Unruh was recognized as the Most Dedicated player. Nathan Flynn’s hard work paid off as he was named Most Improved, and Norah Palmer’s sportsmanship did not go unnoticed, earning her the Best Sportsmanship award. Taylor Steele also received a special award for his exceptional sportsmanship on and off the ice.
Over in the U11 Local League 2 category, Forbes Dick stood out as the MVP, with Sawyer Moes earning the title of Most Dedicated player. Logan Folino’s improvement throughout the season did not go unnoticed, as he was named Most Improved, and Blake Felice’s sportsmanship was recognized with the Best Sportsmanship award.
In the U11 rep division, Micah Penner was named MVP, while Nathan Reid’s dedication earned him the title of Most Dedicated player. Nash Funk’s improvement was impressive, earning him the Most Improved award, and Faith Whyte’s sportsmanship was top-notch, earning her the Best Sportsmanship award.
The awards ceremony continued with recognition for players in the U13, U15, and U18 divisions, with each player being celebrated for their hard work, dedication, improvement, and sportsmanship throughout the season.
