Exciting Future Ahead for Michigan State Hockey with Commitment of Brady Peddle
Michigan State hockey’s historic 2023-24 season may have come to a bitter end, but the future is looking bright for the Spartans with the commitment of four-star defenseman Brady Peddle. The 2007-born recruit from Antigonish, Nova Scotia, Canada, announced his decision to join Michigan State on Instagram, bringing his impressive skills to the team.
Peddle has been a standout defenseman for the Bishop Kearney Selects U-16 AAA team, showcasing his talent with 16 goals and 31 assists in 58 games this season. His performance at the USA Hockey National Championships caught the attention of Michigan State’s staff, as he scored two goals and three assists in five games during the tournament held in Las Vegas.
Neutral Zone’s evaluation of Peddle’s performance against Atlantic Coast Academy highlighted his strengths as a defenseman, praising his size, skating ability, strength, and 2-way game. With his commitment to Michigan State, Peddle is set to make a significant impact on the team when he hits the ice in 2026.
Joining Peddle in the Spartans’ 2007-born recruiting class are defenseman Dryden Allen and forwards Savin Virk and Cullen Potter, all highly rated prospects by Neutral Zone. Peddle’s family ties to the NHL, with his older brother Tyler Peddle drafted by the Columbus Blue Jackets and his father Brad Peddle working as a scout for the team, further solidify his potential for success in the sport.
Standing at 6-foot-2, 185 pounds, Peddle would have been a top prospect in the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) if not for his commitment to Michigan State. Fans can look forward to seeing Peddle and his fellow recruits in action, as they bring their talent and dedication to the Spartans’ program.
