LSU Gymnastics Team Celebrates Historic National Title Win and Emotional Tribute

The LSU Gymnastics team made history on April 20th by clinching their first national title at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth. The team’s journey to victory was marked by an undefeated home season and unwavering support from Tiger Nation. Following their triumph, the team gathered for their annual banquet at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, where over 500 attendees celebrated their success under the leadership of head coach Jay Clark.

One standout at the banquet was gymnast Olivia Dunne, who stole the spotlight with her elegant presence. Dressed in a stunning pink floral print dress, Dunne paid tribute to the championship-winning date, April 20, 2024, with a delicate “tiny tags” necklace. She shared a video on Snapchat showcasing the necklace, affectionately calling it “the date we won championship.”

The emotional resonance of the victory was further highlighted by a TikTok video from the Tiny Tags company, featuring the caption, “pack an order for Livvy dunne with me.” Dunne herself was overcome with emotion after the team secured victory, reflecting on the intense moment by saying, “The first thing I did was start crying right after we won.
