OU Women’s Gymnastics Wins 14th-Straight NCAA Regional Title
The No. 1 Oklahoma women’s gymnastics team continued their dominance in the NCAA Regional Final in Ann Arbor, MI, securing their 14th-straight regional title and advancing to their 20th consecutive NCAA Championship. With a remarkable team score of 198.400, the Sooners showcased their talent and depth, solidifying their status as a powerhouse in collegiate gymnastics.
Led by standout performances from Jordan Bowers, Hannah Scheible, Audrey Davis, Ragan Smith, and Katherine LeVasseur, the Sooners put on a show for the fans in attendance. Bowers shined in the all-around competition, earning a stellar 39.725, while also claiming the floor title with a near-perfect 9.975. Scheible impressed on vault with a high score of the night, a 9.925, while Davis and LeVasseur excelled on bars and beam, respectively, with scores of 9.95 and 9.975.
The team’s performance on beam was particularly outstanding, as they tied their program high with a score of 49.800, setting a new record for the highest team beam score in regional competition.
