Mojácar Rhythmic Gymnastics Team Wins More Medals

Mojácar Municipal Rhythmic Gymnastics Team Shines in Almería Provincial Council Circuit Final

The Mojácar Municipal Rhythmic Gymnastics Team has once again showcased their talent and dedication at the final of the Almería Provincial Council Rhythmic Gymnastics Promotion Circuit in Balanegra, Berja. With outstanding performances, the team has secured the title of champions of Almería and claimed gold medals in the Cadet and Infant 2 categories.

Nina Hernández, a silver medallist and Almería 2024 runner-up in the ball category, along with Sara Pérez, a gold medallist and champion of Almería in the youngest category for hands-free routine, and Pilar Flores, a bronze medallist in the youngest category for hands-free routine, have all contributed to the team’s success.

The coaches and team members are thrilled with their achievements and see this as a stepping stone towards continuous improvement and growth. Their coach emphasizes the importance of learning and striving for excellence in every performance.

The Cadet and Infant 2 teams have now qualified for the regional final scheduled for May 18th. A podium finish in this competition will elevate them to the promising category and allow them to participate in Andalucian competitions next year.

Despite their recent success, there is no time for rest as the Costarítmica Almería league kicks off on April 27th in Vícar. The team is gearing up to defend their titles and continue their winning streak.

María del Mar Montoya, the team’s coach, acknowledges the hard work of everyone involved, including the parents who support and encourage the gymnasts every step of the way. She also expresses gratitude to the Mojácar Council for their unwavering support of the team and their commitment to promoting sports among the youth in the municipality.

The Mojácar Municipal Rhythmic Gymnastics Team is undoubtedly making a mark in the rhythmic gymnastics scene in Almería, and their future looks bright as they continue to excel and inspire others with their passion and dedication to the sport.
