University of Florida Gymnast Leanne Wong Named Finalist for Honda Award
University of Florida junior Leanne Wong is making waves in the world of gymnastics as she has been named one of the final four candidates for the prestigious Honda Award. This award recognizes the top collegiate female athlete in 12 different sports each season, and Wong’s outstanding performances have earned her a well-deserved spot among the finalists.
Wong recently clinched the NCAA uneven bars title in Fort Worth, Texas, solidifying her status as a top gymnast in the collegiate circuit. With three top-2 individual finishes in the 2024 NCAA competition, including a second-place finish in the all-around and vault, Wong has proven herself to be a force to be reckoned with on the gymnastics floor.
