University of Arkansas Gymnastics Team Makes History in 2024

The University of Arkansas gymnastics team had a historic season in 2024, achieving several firsts under the leadership of fifth-year Coach Jordyn Wieber. The Razorbacks advanced to the NCAA Championships for the first time since the format changed in 2019, breaking their program-record meet score three times and scoring over 198 for the first time in a win over Nebraska.

Although the Razorbacks placed seventh at the NCAA Championships, it was the third-highest finish in school history. The team scored 197 or better in a school-record 11 meets, showcasing their consistency and improvement throughout the season. Despite falling short of the 197 mark in the semifinals, the Razorbacks have a promising future with the majority of their routines and counting scores returning for next season.

Several gymnasts stood out during the season, with Reese Drotar, Leah Smith, and Cami Weaver earning postseason All-America honors for their performances. The team’s loaded sophomore class and experienced junior class provide a strong foundation for future success.

Coach Wieber is optimistic about the team’s potential for the upcoming season, emphasizing the importance of building on the experience gained this year. With a young and talented roster, the Razorbacks have the potential to continue their success and aim for a top 10 finish in 2025.
