Mojácar Rhythmic Gymnastics Team Continues to Shine in Competition
The Mojácar Rhythmic Gymnastics team continues to shine in every competition they participate in, showcasing their talent and dedication to the sport. Most recently, the team competed in the first contest of the Almería Provincial Council’s Rhythmic Gymnastics Promotion Circuit in Garrucha, held at the Vista Alegre pavilion.
The team’s performance was outstanding, with eight out of nine teams making it to the final round and three out of four individual gymnasts qualifying as well. The hard work and training paid off as the team brought home a total of seven medals. Among the medals were silver for the “alevin” team and Pilar Aguado in the “benjamin” category, three gold medals for the benjamin and cadet teams, and Nina Hernández as an individual, as well as two bronze medals.
Coach María del Mar Montoya expressed her pride in the team’s achievements, highlighting the tough competition they faced from the best teams in Almería. The success at the competition is a testament to the team’s year-round dedication and hard work.
Looking ahead, the team has their sights set on the final on April 14th in Balanegra, where they are expected to continue their winning streak. Additionally, the team has set important goals for the future, including participating in the Andalucian Championship next year and the Costa de Almería Cup organized by the EDM Costarítmica.
The Mojácar Rhythmic Gymnastics team has come a long way since its inception three years ago, growing from 20 girls to over 70 students this year. With the support of their coaches and the hard work of the athletes, the team is poised for even greater success in the upcoming season. Their impressive track record and dedication to the sport make them a force to be reckoned with in the world of rhythmic gymnastics.
