Elmira Gymnastics Club Hosts 29th Annual Spring Fling Competition in Big Flats, NY
The 29th Elmira Spring Fling gymnastics competition is set to take place this weekend at the Elmira Gymnastics Club, attracting gymnasts from across New York State and bringing a lot of excitement to the Southern Tier.
Owner Laura Monichetti shared that 355 gymnasts will be competing over the weekend, with approximately 900 spectators expected to attend. The club has made changes to accommodate the large crowd, including tapping the floor and setting up seating for optimal viewing.
Gymnasts from levels two through five and Xcel Bronze up to Xcel Diamond, the highest level, will be participating in the competition. Teams from Buffalo, Rochester, and Hopewell Junction will be among the nine different teams traveling to Elmira for the event.
The competition will feature groups of gymnasts ranging from ages 6 to eighteen, promising an exciting showcase of talent for spectators. Local businesses in the Southern Tier are also getting involved, offering discounts and promotions for attendees of the event.
After a challenging year of practice, the gymnasts are eager to showcase their skills once again. The Elmira Gymnastics Club has been preparing diligently for the event, with dedicated parents and coaches working tirelessly to make it a success.
The Elmira Spring Fling competition will kick off on Saturday, April 13th, and continue through Sunday, April 14th. Ticket admission is $15 for adults, $5 for children, and free for children 4 years and under. The event schedule includes various levels of competition, providing a full weekend of gymnastics excitement for all involved.
