Sergio Garcia Makes Third Putter Change in Three Months: Introducing the Never Compromise Reserve NC Contrast Model 4s
Sergio Garcia Makes Third Putter Change in Three Months
Putting is a personal thing, and finding the right putter can make all the difference in a golfer’s game. Sergio Garcia, the Major winner, has been on a putter-changing spree recently, with his latest switch being his third putter in just three months.
At the LIV Golf Mayakoba in February, Garcia was seen using a brand new putter, the Golfyr Maker. Shortly after, he switched to the Scotty Cameron TN3 putter, a model he has used frequently throughout his career. Now, at LIV Golf Adelaide, Garcia has introduced yet another putter into his bag – the Never Compromise Reserve NC Contrast Model 4s from Dunlop Sports.
Garcia is the first player to use a custom-fitted putter from Dunlop Sports’ recently relaunched brand. The Never Compromise line offers a unique length-fitting process, where a tool is used to determine the correct setup and posture for each golfer. The putter length is then cut precisely, with golfers able to choose their preferred head shape and finish.
Chuck Thiry, Vice President of XXIO, expressed excitement about the re-release of the Never Compromise line, emphasizing the importance of getting a putter fit for one’s stroke to improve results on the greens.
The Never Compromise Reserve NC Contrast Putter – Model 4S, which Garcia is currently using, features a winged mallet design, a slant neck hosel, and a contrasting alignment system. Priced at just under $450, this putter is said to be best suited for golfers with a slight arc stroke.
As Garcia heads into the final round of LIV Golf Adelaide, he is currently at level-par and tied for 48th position. Despite his struggles in this event, Garcia has had a successful year so far, with two runner-up finishes at Mayakoba and Miami. With his new putter in hand, Garcia will be looking to make a move up the leaderboard and secure a strong finish in Adelaide.
