Scottie Scheffler secures fourth win of the year at RBC Heritage
Masters champion Scottie Scheffler continued his dominant run on the PGA Tour, securing his fourth win of the year at the RBC Heritage at Hilton Head. Despite a two-and-a-half hour storm delay, Scheffler maintained his composure to finish three strokes ahead of the competition.
Scheffler, the world number one, made par on the 16th and 17th before ending with a bogey on the final hole. This victory marked his tenth career win on the PGA Tour and made him the first player since Tiger Woods in 2007-08 to win four times in a five-tournament stretch.
The Texan’s impressive performance also saw him become the first player since Bernhard Langer in 1985 to win the Masters and then triumph at the Heritage the following week. Scheffler’s recent success has solidified his position as one of the top players on the tour, with four wins in his last five events.
With his win at the RBC Heritage, Scheffler took home $3.6 million, bringing his total prize money in a 44-day span to over $16 million. Despite his recent success, Scheffler remains focused on continuing to improve and stay mentally sharp on the course.
As he heads home with his wife expecting their first child, Scheffler plans to celebrate his back-to-back wins in true ‘on-brand’ fashion – with a breakfast burrito and coffee. His remarkable consistency and dedication to his game have solidified his status as a force to be reckoned with on the PGA Tour.
