Former Wales Rugby International and Acclaimed Comedian Attend Tŷ Hafan’s Charity Golf Day
Former Wales rugby international and renowned comedian, Shane Williams, recently attended Tŷ Hafan’s Charity Golf Day, alongside golfers from across Wales. The event, sponsored by Mitie, took place at Cardiff’s Radyr Golf Club and raised an impressive £20,850.
Williams expressed his gratitude towards Tŷ Hafan, stating, “Thank you Tŷ Hafan for making me very welcome and allowing me to be part of this amazing day. With everyone’s hard work and generosity, we managed to raise over £20,000, which is incredible.”
James Harper of Principality Building Society, a participant in the event, highlighted the importance of supporting Tŷ Hafan, the official charity partner of the society. He emphasized the charity’s crucial role in helping families in need and praised the event for bringing people together to raise awareness and support for Tŷ Hafan.
Sorrel Mayo, corporate senior fundraiser for Tŷ Hafan, expressed her gratitude towards all the businesses that participated in the event and thanked Mitie for their headline support. She also commended Shane Williams for hosting the day and Steve Speirs for entertaining everyone and conducting a successful auction.
