Rosie Davies and Elena Moosmann Share Lead in Cape Town – Watch Live on Sky Sports

Rosie Davies and Elena Moosmann are the joint leaders after the opening round of the Investec South African Women’s Open in Cape Town. Davies, from England, shot an impressive six-under par 66 to share the lead with Switzerland’s Moosmann. Despite a bogey on the first hole, Davies quickly recovered with three consecutive birdies. She continued her strong performance on the back nine, picking up five more strokes to take the clubhouse lead.

Davies, at 34 years old, joked that the best rounds start with a bogey and credited the favorable morning weather conditions for her success. She praised the stunning condition of the golf course in Cape Town and expressed her love for playing in South Africa.

Norway’s Julie Boysen Hillestad sits in third place at five-under par, while Order of Merit No 1 Bronte Law is part of a group of seven players at four under, including Englishwomen Annabell Fuller, Hannah Burke, and Liz Young, as well as South Africa’s Lee-Anne Pace.
