LIV Golf CEO Greg Norman Announces Venue for Individual Championship Finale in Chicago

The excitement is building as LIV Golf CEO and commissioner Greg Norman has announced that the season finale will be held at Bolingbrook Golf Club in Chicago from September 13-15. The race for the individual championship title is heating up, with Chile’s Joaquin Niemann currently leading the season standings after impressive victories in Mayakoba and Jeddah.

Norman expressed his enthusiasm for the event, stating, “The passionate sports fans of Chicago have embraced the intense competition and fan-first experience that LIV Golf delivers, and this year it will be an incredible setting for a high-stakes event as players battle it out for the individual title and a roster spot for 2025.”

The course at Bolingbrook Golf Club, designed by Arthur Hills and Steve Forrest, is known for its challenging layout, with seven lakes lining the holes, including the signature 15th – a 156-yard par three with an island green. Bolingbrook mayor Mary Basta expressed her excitement, saying, “We are excited to welcome the star-studded, international field of great players to the village of Bolingbrook and Bolingbrook Golf Club.”

With the revised scoring format rewarding only the top eight finishers at each event with points towards the season standings, the competition is fierce. Jon Rahm is currently in second place but trails Niemann by more than 30 points. However, with 32 points on offer for a win at the remaining seven events before the Individual Championship, Rahm could quickly close the gap if Niemann falters.

The stakes are high not only at the top of the standings but also at the bottom, with the bottom seven players facing relegation from the league. The upcoming events leading up to the season finale in Chicago promise to be thrilling as players vie for the coveted individual championship title.
