Brooks Koepka Expands Smash Brand with Smash Racing Syndicate
Brooks Koepka is not just making waves in the world of golf, but he is also expanding his brand into the realm of horse racing with the formation of Smash Racing. The five-time major champion has already proven his prowess on the golf course in the LIV Golf setup, adding three titles to his name and earning a staggering £24 million in tournament earnings.
Koepka’s Smash GC franchise has been making strides in the breakaway circuit, especially after the addition of the league’s most in-form player, Talor Gooch. But it is his foray into horse racing that has caught the attention of many. Last December, Smash Racing took over ownership of the Harry Derham-trained Givemefive, who has already secured wins at Market Rasen and Warwick, as well as a runner-up finish at Kempton.
Teaming up with his new teammate Graeme McDowell, Koepka’s interest in horse racing was sparked by a lost bet that led to the acquisition of Givemefive. The horse’s success has only fueled Koepka’s passion for the sport, with plans to expand the Smash Racing investment even further in the future.
While Givemefive missed out on a spot at this year’s Cheltenham Festival, Koepka remains hopeful of entering the prestigious event in the future. The American golfer is excited about the prospect of taking his horse to the biggest week in racing and is determined to continue growing the Smash Racing brand on a global scale.
With Koepka’s dedication and passion for both golf and horse racing, it seems like Smash Racing is set to become another successful venture for the talented athlete.
