Rare Ayrton Senna-owned Honda NSX Hits Market for £500,000
Formula 1 fans and car enthusiasts alike have a rare opportunity to own a piece of racing history as a red Honda NSX once owned by the legendary Ayrton Senna has hit the market for £500,000.
Rober McFagan, the current owner of the iconic sports car, is offering the chance to own one of only three NSX models owned by Senna himself. The Brazilian star was known to keep the car at his home in Portugal and was often seen with it, including famous photos of him washing the model in 1991.
The NSX also made an appearance in the 1992 film Racing Is In My Blood, where Senna showcased its power by lighting up the back wheels with a wheel spin. In 2019, the car was driven around the Imola circuit by Giancarlo Minardi on the 25th anniversary of Senna’s tragic death, in front of thousands of fans.
With only a handful of models still in existence, the lucky buyer of Senna’s NSX will not only own a rare piece of automotive history but also a connection to one of the greatest drivers in Formula 1. The car, registered in 1991, has just over 39,000 miles on the clock and is described as a thrilling drive with its powerful engine, responsive handling, and aerodynamic design.
As the car is listed on Auto Trader, fans and collectors have the opportunity to own a piece of Senna’s legacy and spark conversations among friends, family, and neighbors. Ayrton Senna may have left us too soon, but his impact on the world of motorsport continues to be felt, making this NSX a truly special and sought-after vehicle.
