Michael Schumacher’s Luxury Watch Collection Up for Auction at Christie’s
Legendary Formula 1 driver Michael Schumacher’s watch collection is set to make waves in the luxury watch market as eight of his personalized timepieces are going up for auction. With an estimated total value of over $4.8 million, these rare watches are sure to attract the attention of avid watch collectors and Formula 1 fans alike.
The collection, which includes pieces from top brands such as Rolex, Audemars Piguet, and F.P. Journe, will be on display in New York from May 3 to May 5 before heading to Geneva, Switzerland for the auction on May 13. Additionally, a Rolex stainless steel Paul Newman Daytona watch could sell for up to $440,000, while Schumacher’s Audemars Piguet Royal Oak watch is estimated to reach $280,000.
One of the most unique pieces in the collection is the white gold Royal Oak chronograph, which was gifted to Schumacher by his mentor Jean Todt in 2003. The watch features symbols celebrating Schumacher’s six Championship victories at the time, including depictions of Ferrari’s iconic prancing horse emblem and Schumacher’s red racing helmet.
