Carlos Sainz’s Contract Situation and Potential Future Team Options in F1

Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz is facing a crucial decision regarding his future in Formula 1 as he is currently without a contract for next year. The Spanish driver, who is being replaced by Lewis Hamilton at Ferrari, has yet to decide which team he wants to join for the 2025 season.

Recent reports suggested that Sainz had rejected an offer from Audi, who will be entering F1 in 2026 by taking over the current Sauber outfit. Audi’s first choice for their 2025 lineup is Sainz, alongside Nico Hulkenberg, who has already been confirmed as their first driver. If Sainz joins Audi, he will be reunited with Hulkenberg, with whom he was teammates at Renault in 2017 and 2018.
