Bolton Wanderers featured on world’s longest multi-club football scarf for new football camp programme
Bolton Wanderers have found themselves on a unique platform as they are included on the world’s longest multi-club football scarf, alongside more than 70 other football clubs from England, Wales, and Scotland. This impressive scarf, measuring 100m long, represents the involvement of EFL clubs, as well as Scottish giants Celtic and Rangers. Crafted with care and precision, the scarf is the result of over 500 hours of design, knitting, and sewing by a team of specialists in Manchester.
This exciting inclusion comes as part of the launch of the Kellogg’s Football Camps programme, in partnership with the English Football League, Manchester City, Celtic, and Rangers. The camps, designed for girls and boys aged five to 15, aim to keep kids active and entertained during the school summer holidays. To celebrate the announcement of the camps, Kellogg’s is offering 30,000 free places for children to participate before the summer kicks off.
The launch event at Birmingham City’s stadium, St Andrews at Knighthead Park, saw former EFL stars like Jermaine Beckford and Michael Dawson join forces with children from local schools to celebrate the initiative. Manchester City Women’s stars Chloe Kelly, Demi Stokes, and Ruby Mace also surprised young players with a visit during their training session at City’s Etihad Campus.
Chris Silcock, managing director of Kellanova, expressed his excitement about the camps, highlighting the opportunity for children across Britain to get active and have fun. Former Hull City and England defender Dawson also shared his enthusiasm for the programme, emphasizing the importance of football camps in fostering a love for the game.
Kellogg’s Football Camps sessions will run from June to September, offering kids the chance to learn and play the beautiful game under the guidance of FA qualified coaches. Parents can sign up their children for the camps at www.kelloggsfc.com.
