Disaster struck the world of cycling on Thursday during the fourth stage of the Return to the Basque Country, as a horrific fall claimed the lives of 12 riders, including top favorites like Primoz Roglic, Remco Evenepoel, and Jonas Vingegaard. The incident occurred on a treacherous descent towards Olaeta, leaving the cycling community in shock and disbelief.

Jonas Vingegaard, the current two-time champion of the Tour de France, was rushed to the hospital with an oxygen mask and neck brace, but thankfully, he was conscious and undergoing further checks.
