Armed Forces Cycling Classic Returns to Arlington, VA June 1-2, 2024: Challenge Ride, Corporate Challenge, Pro/Am Races, and Kids Races Offer Fun for All Ages and Abilities
The 26th edition of the Armed Forces Cycling Classic (AFCC) is set to take place in Arlington, VA on June 1st and 2nd, offering a weekend full of exciting cycling events for enthusiasts and fans of all ages and abilities. The event, presented by The Boeing Company, will feature a variety of races including the Challenge Ride, Corporate Challenge, Pro/Am races, and Kids Races.
The AFCC’s Pro/Am races will bring together top US and international teams, with competitors from the UK, Germany, and New Zealand set to battle it out with America’s best. The event promises to be a thrilling showcase of speed, endurance, and determination, with every pedal stroke serving as an inspiration to the power of human potential.
The weekend’s action will kick off on Saturday with the Challenge Ride, a closed course open to cyclists of all abilities, followed by the Crystal Cup Men’s and Women’s Pro/Am races. Sunday will see the culmination of the competition with the Clarendon Cup.
One of the highlights of this year’s event is the Amazon Corporate Challenge, which encourages companies and organizations to form teams to participate in the Challenge Ride and fundraise for the event’s beneficiary, Tragedy Assistance for Survivors (TAPS). The top three fundraising teams will be recognized on stage following the Challenge Ride.
