2024 Elmhurst Cycling Classic Presented by DuPage Cycling Foundation and Team EMC2/Elmhurst Master Cycling
The DuPage Cycling Foundation and Team EMC2/Elmhurst Master Cycling are gearing up for an exciting weekend of racing as they join forces once again to host the 2024 edition of the Elmhurst Cycling Classic. The event will take place around Elmhurst University’s campus on Saturday, June 8, with a series of Illinois Criterium Championship races sanctioned by the Illinois Cycling Association.
Cyclists from various professional categories will compete in races starting at 10 a.m. and lasting until 7 p.m., with cash prizes up for grabs. The highlight of the day will be the new Dr. Tauchen Ortholazer Twilight Mile, offering a total of $2,000 in cash prizes for the top five men and women runners.
Former Elmhurst Alderman and cyclist Kevin York and his wife, Jill, are sponsoring a race for Cat 4/5 and Masters 4/5 participants, adding to the excitement of the day’s events. Additionally, members of the Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce and Industry are showing their support as race sponsors for various races throughout the day.
The schedule will conclude with a Family Fun Ride hosted by the Elmhurst Park District at 7 p.m., providing a fun and inclusive way for all to participate in the cycling festivities.
