India’s Cycling Program Gears Up for 2028 Olympics with French Coach Kevin Sireau

India’s cycling program is set to take a giant leap forward as the country gears up for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics with the help of French coach Kevin Sireau. The Union Sports Ministry has thrown its weight behind the initiative, recognizing the potential of the talented young cyclists who have been making waves on the Asian and world junior circuits.

Sireau, a two-time Olympic medallist from France, joined the Cycling Federation of India (CFI) earlier this year and has already made a significant impact. The 37-year-old professional racing cyclist has been instrumental in instilling a sense of eagerness among India’s best cyclists to excel on the international stage.

India’s success in cycling has been on an upward trajectory, with the likes of Esow Alben, L Ronaldo Singh, Y Rojit Singh, and Jemsh Singh making their mark on the world stage. The quartet made history by winning a men’s team sprint gold at the 2019 World Junior Track Cycling Championship and have continued to impress with their performances.

With Sireau at the helm, the Indian team is aiming to make a mark at the upcoming world championships and ultimately, the 2028 Olympics. The coach is confident in the abilities of his riders and believes that with hard work and dedication, they can achieve podium finishes at the highest level.

The road to the Olympics is a challenging one, but with Sireau’s guidance and the support of the government’s Target Olympic Podium Scheme, India’s cyclists are determined to make their mark on the world stage. As the countdown to the 2028 Olympics begins, all eyes will be on the Indian cycling team as they strive to achieve their Olympic dreams under the expert guidance of Kevin Sireau.
