Virender Sehwag’s Whopping Offer Rejection from Big Bash League Revealed in Chat with Adam Gilchrist

Virender Sehwag, the legendary Indian cricketer known for his explosive batting style, recently shared an interesting anecdote during a chat with Australian cricket great Adam Gilchrist. The conversation revolved around the possibility of Indian players participating in other T20 leagues, specifically the Big Bash League in Australia.

When asked by Gilchrist if Indian players would ever consider playing in the BBL, Sehwag humorously replied, “No, Don’t need. We are rich people, we don’t go to poor countries.” He then went on to reveal a surprising offer he once received from a BBL franchise – a whopping $100,000 contract.

Sehwag recalled the time when he was dropped from the Indian team and playing in the IPL when the offer came in. Despite the tempting amount, Sehwag turned down the offer, stating that he could spend that money on his holidays and jokingly mentioning that his last night’s bill exceeded $100,000.

Currently working as a pundit for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, Sehwag has been actively involved in analyzing player performances and team selections for the upcoming T20 World Cup. Sehwag’s candid revelations and witty banter with Gilchrist have once again showcased his charismatic personality and unique perspective on the game of cricket. As fans eagerly await the T20 World Cup, Sehwag’s insights and predictions are sure to keep the cricketing world buzzing with excitement.
