During his trip to Jammu and Kashmir in February, Tendulkar also met para-cricketer Amir Hussain Lone, fulfilling a promise he made after seeing a video of him playing cricket. Discovered by a teacher who recognized his talent, Amir has been actively involved in professional para cricket since 2013.
Currently serving as a mentor for the Mumbai Indians in IPL 2024, Tendulkar recently shared insights into his decision to recommend MS Dhoni for the captaincy of the Indian cricket team after the 2007 World Cup debacle.
