Proteas’ 2024 T20 World Cup Kit Unveiled at the Wanderers
Cricket South Africa (CSA) has set the stage on fire with the unveiling of the Proteas’ playing kit for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, scheduled to take place in the West Indies and USA from 1-29 June. The kit was revealed during the CSA T20 Challenge final between Lions and Dolphins at the iconic Wanderers Stadium, where the Lions emerged victorious.
The new playing strip, designed in collaboration with CSA’s official technical partner Lotto Sport, features a striking combination of gold with bright green sleeves and collar. The design pays tribute to South Africa’s rich heritage, with the national flag adorning the shoulders and the iconic Protea flower subtly displayed on the torso.
CSA CEO Pholetsi Moseki expressed his excitement about the new kit, stating, “Lotto Sport has delivered yet another world-class playing strip following the success of the 50-over World Cup design. We’re thrilled to see the Proteas don this new kit as they prepare to compete on the global stage at the T20 World Cup in June.”
The Proteas, placed in Group D alongside Bangladesh, Nepal, the Netherlands, and Sri Lanka, will kick off their campaign against Sri Lanka on 3 June in New York. Fans can now pre-order the official Proteas’ World Cup kit on the CSA website and gear up to support their favorite team in style.
