Promoter confident rematch clause won’t be bypassed for Joshua-Fury fight

The highly anticipated undisputed heavyweight championship fight between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk is set to take place next month on May 18, but there has been speculation about the possibility of Anthony Joshua stepping in to fight the Gypsy King instead. However, Usyk’s promoter Alexander Krassyuk has confidently rebuffed any suggestion that the rematch clause in place for Fury’s fight will be bypassed.

Krassyuk has mocked both Fury and Joshua, insisting that any potential bout between the two British fighters will only happen after they have both lost to Usyk. He expressed his confidence in Usyk’s ability to defeat Fury, stating that the bout will be stopped inside the distance and that Fury is simply saying goodbye to his WBC championship belt.

Despite Krassyuk’s bold claims, Fury remains unfazed and confident in his own abilities. In a recent press conference, Fury emphasized the importance of size in the heavyweight division, claiming that Usyk will be “found wanting” when he steps up to face the elite big fighters like himself.

With the heavyweight division eagerly awaiting the outcome of the Fury-Usyk fight, it seems that any potential matchup between Fury and Joshua will have to wait until after the rematch clause is activated. Fans can expect an exciting showdown next month as Fury and Usyk face off in what promises to be a thrilling battle for the undisputed heavyweight championship title.
