Fabio Wardley Supports Hometown Club Ipswich at Carrow Road
Fabio Wardley, the British heavyweight champion, showed his unwavering support for his hometown club Ipswich as he made a special appearance at Carrow Road in Norwich. Despite still sporting bruises from his recent draw with Frazer Clarke, Wardley proudly donned an Ipswich shirt for the Old Farm derby.
In a show of solidarity with his team, Wardley posted a picture of himself in the iconic blue Ipswich home shirt, complete with a scarf and flag. The 29-year-old boxer, known for his fighting spirit, couldn’t resist getting into the spirit of the game as he swung his shirt around his head in the away end concourse, much to the delight of fellow Ipswich fans.
As the match unfolded, Wardley couldn’t resist taunting the Norwich supporters, adding to the electric atmosphere of the Championship clash. Despite Wardley’s enthusiastic support, Ipswich unfortunately fell short, losing 1-0 to Norwich due to Marcelino Nunez’s 39th-minute free-kick.
However, there was a silver lining for Wardley and Ipswich fans as Leeds also suffered a defeat, keeping Norwich within striking distance of the top spot in the league. Wardley, who had recently endured a brutal battle with Clarke resulting in a broken nose, showed his resilience both in and out of the ring.
Despite the physical toll of his recent fight, Wardley’s dedication to his hometown team and his fighting spirit were on full display at Carrow Road. As he continues to recover from his injuries, Wardley’s support for Ipswich remains unwavering, proving that he is not only a champion in the ring but also a loyal fan off it.
