In a star-studded lineup that is sure to strike fear into the hearts of their opponents, Team USA has finalized its roster for the upcoming Paris Olympics, and it includes some of the biggest names in basketball.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the team will feature the likes of LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Joel Embiid, Kevin Durant, Jayson Tatum, and more. The addition of Kawhi Leonard to round out the 12-man group only adds to the team’s already formidable lineup.
Coached by Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr, Team USA will also have the expertise of Tyronn Lue, Erik Spoelstra, and Mark Few as assistant coaches.
LeBron James, who returns to the Olympics for the first time since 2012, will be looking to add to his impressive Olympic resume, which includes gold medals in 2008 and 2012. Stephen Curry, on the other hand, will be making his Olympic debut after missing out on the 2016 Games due to injuries.
Joel Embiid, who holds dual citizenship between the USA and France, will also be making his Olympic debut after committing to play for Team USA over his native Cameroon.
With a star-studded lineup and a coaching staff filled with experience, Team USA will be looking to redeem themselves after failing to medal at the FIBA World Cup last summer. However, they will face stiff competition from teams like France, Serbia, and Canada, who all boast talented rosters of their own.
The stage is set for an epic showdown in Paris, and basketball fans around the world will be eagerly anticipating the clash of titans that is sure to unfold on the Olympic stage.
